What is the HVAC system?

The basic components in a central HVAC systems common

- Heat exchanger such as hot water coil, steam coil, evaporating refrigerant, or chilled water coil to add heat or remove heat from the air to circulate.
- Secondary heating equipment such as natural gas furnace or thermoelectric element.
- Compress the air to compress the cold vapor and pump refrigerant around the system.
- Stop to remove heat from the cold vapor and condense it into a liquid.
- Fan for circulating outside air via wind cooling
- Pump to circulate water through a water cooled condenser; Condenser water pump (CWP); and condensate water supply (CWS) and vice versa (CWR).
- Pumps to circulate hot water from the boiler through the hot water coils and return or circulate the cold water from the chiller through the chilled and chilled water coils.
